(I’m already laughing) What if every time we were overwhelmed or the daily hustle of life simply just became too much and we decided to just scream! No, seriously just think about it (as you’re laughing). Instead of keeping all that bottled up inside, or expressing it through anger towards the wrong people. What if we just released it all through a scream. Of course people would think we were a few french fries short of a happy meal, but that’s ok because they probably already think that of you anyway. (smile)
All jokes aside why do we tend to keep so much inside, especially men? Is it because we don’t want to give anyone that much power of knowing your deepest or truest feelings? Could it be because your true self would be revealed? And you haven't quite figured out who that is just yet for yourself and you don't want anyone else figuring it out before you? Why not expose yourself to your friends and or family? That’s what your village is there for. If you don’t feel like you can, ask yourself what is it with that relationship that you have with them that is keeping you guarded, and from being your true you. If you can’t scream or expose your true feelings what outlet do you have? Do your issues then turn reckless because you don’t know how to express yourself the right way?
Now on the other side of things. As a part of someone’s village are we being truthful to them as only friends and family can be? Or are we sugar coating our responses because we do not want to be considered that downer friend or relative. If you are then that’s just as unhealthy as holding it all in. What would happen if we all exposed ourselves, and our true feelings and beliefs were revealed? Do you think we would all be in a better place or would it set us even further back?
If you’re afraid to just scream in random places because you think some may judge you (they definitely will). Then make sure your village consists of people who love you, they don’t have to be in love with you but have a genuine love for your soul. Try to make a more conscious effort to tell people you love them, if the word love is too intense for you then simply tell them you appreciate them. You never know those words may just get them through the day. Those words may just wipe the tears away they may have just been shedding. Your words may just stop that embarrassing scream in public. Your words can go a long way and your prayers for others can reach even further!
I will end today’s reflection by simply saying I love you, yes you!
Be BLESSED
I don't know you but I love you too.
ReplyDeleteThanks for the uplifting words. I have been truly blessed by your writings. It is so true that we don't express our true feelings. I think if I did, I'd walk away from so many people and would never look back. But, trying to be a better person, I must exhaust all measures first to improve relationships. Sometimes it's a difficult journey but with the help of God and His Strength for the day, we will make it through.
Be encouraged! You have surely touched me and have made me reflect within myself.
Again, thanks and I love you. Yes, you!
Thank you so much lovely. You too have blessed me by simply reading and commenting and sharing a personal reflection of your own. I totally understand its a difficult journey, but being great isnt easy but it definitely is all of our destiny. Again I say thank you!thank you! thank you!
ReplyDeleteLoving should come very easy for us. For God so loved the world that He gave His Only Begotten Son..... This reflection brought me into a place of appreciation for God's love for us. And, knowing that someone (you) who doesn't even know me, loves me, has blessed my very soul. I can't help but believe that there is HOPE for ALL mankind.
ReplyDeleteBLESS-YOU, BLESS-YOU, BLESS YOU!
The word Love has now come with so many requirements a lot of people have forgotten how easy it really is to love. I humbly will take those blessings and I thank you for your words. There is hope for mankind, we just have to put the good out there instead of dwelling on the bad. In the middle of whatever is going on there is ALWAYS hope.I wish more could understand that the power in their own words and actions can bless and change someones life, all while encouraging themselves. We have work to do!
ReplyDeleteI LOVE YOU TOO!!! yes i too have those days when i just wanna SCREAM ("You make me wanna scream...stop pressuring me") that MJ song came to mind when i read this post. if you scream when you get in your car or when you go home then you can spare yourself the embarrassment but shoot people do embarrassing things everyday...why can't you or me...
